One of my friends suggested I join eHarmony At this point in my life, I should probably be participating in roller derby or something, but I'm still going to shows and hanging around with 19 year olds. I love going to shows and I love being up front. I don't love hanging around at the bar and not paying attention to the music because I'm so jaded*. Currently my favorite bands are The Copyrights, The Hypnic Jerks, The Fizzy Pops, and whoever I didn't realize had a show last week. I also like lots of other music beyond the scope of punk rock, but those are mostly bands that have been broken up for twenty years.

Things about me that have nothing to do with music: I live in Uptown with my two cats. I love to cook and read, mostly sf/f. I pretty much only watch crime shows on TV. I have a gaggle of girls I hang out with all the time, most of whom are at least old enough to get into a bar, but all of whom are still significantly younger than I am. I'm way less interesting when I'm trying to make a good impression than I am when I'm relaxed. I'm terrible at girlie stuff - I have one dress and 37 band tee shirts, and I get mistaken for a dude a surprising amount of the time, considering I have a pretty decent rack. My hair actually does not change color depending on the day of the week, it's been mostly purple for about a year now. I work at a "women's healthcare provider" so if you have a problem with any form of women's health care, don't bother.

I'm interested in a low-key but consistent relationship. I have a pretty active social life, I don't need constant attention, but I also don't take social cues well and can be kind of persistent until I figure out what's going on. I'm looking for someone who either lives in the city, or can get here pretty easily since I don't have a car, although I have no problems taking the train out to the suburbs. Mostly I'm looking for an easy going guy around my age to hang out with.

*Although if you do want to hang around at the bar, that's cool. You can hold my stuff.
