I am a public school teacher and singer in a rock band that is not a punk rock band. I have never parted with my DIY ethics and values. I used to sing in a hardcore band, publish a fanzine, travel the world meeting punk rockers, seeing shows, and exchanging records and ideas.
I haven't been to a punk/HC show in about five years. I am here because I am brand new to the area, though my family's been in Portland since the 1890s.
I would like to meet a woman who is also a seasoned veteran of this tiny subculture. I would like to meet adult punkers like myself who have a variety of interests and passions that inspire them, just as punk rock inspired us when the world was young.
