I was born in South Africa (English: 1st language) and have been residing in Australia for the last 8 years (my father is an Aussie). I'm currently employed in logistics at a saddlery trading company, but I'm a qualified administrator and web designer (although I lost interest in the latter as a career choice) and have dabbled in IT. I'm an occasional student- self-taught or otherwise- either to increase my employability or just to improve my general erudition. I consider myself to be editorially or journalistically minded and I'm planning on completing an education in that area one day. My passion is songwriting. I've been playing the guitar for 11 years and I'm hoping to at least perform in a locally successful band.
Other hobbies are listening to and appreciating music, reading, watching DVDs, surfing the net and I occasionally draw when I feel inspired to. I'm interested in the more "extreme" sports, but I don't practise any of them personally. I enjoy attending music festivals and frequenting nightclubs. My preferred taste in music is punk and metal, but I enjoy and am open to some other genres. I like the more deviant side of art. I enjoy entertainment that's different to the norm and I'm fascinated by all things weird and off-kilter (the fact that I joined this site should give some indication that I'm definitely accepting of people with alternative appearances and lifestyles). I have sort of an A and B type personality in that I can be quite shy, quiet and introverted sometimes and quite outspoken, opinionated and extroverted at other times. I like a quite night in and I like to party. I'm looking for people who are congenial, not necessarily 100%, but if you're single and have similar taste and share a lot of the same interests, then it would be great if we hooked up.
