now kiddies let me sit you all down and tell you a story,

the PUNK scene is not dead, although since the late 90's it has however suffered a major blow, see once you start getting bands like good charlotte coming through with the kids saying that they are "HARDCORE PUNK" it kinda kills the scene as with any scene,

Punk isn't dead i do however believe that is is and has for some years now been changing, re-forming, NOFX and such bands just can't cut it anymore, every scene changes and it's just our time to change, eventually it will be a good thing howvere for now we sit and suffer for that one band who will make the changes necessary and get it right the first time round,

more and more bands are coming through the ranks however they arn't PUNK, they are the emo bands and the screamo bands, maybe this is the future of punk rock? when you think about it the emo's and the screamo's are like yin and yang they represent both sides of PUNK ROCK, so perhaps it is time for poeple to just pick a side?

now im not saying one way or another personally i hope i'm wrong about this,

just remember IT'S YOUR JOB TO KEEP PUNK ROCK ELITE!!

heres where i come in. I both agree and disagree. Real punk, real honest to goodness punk, was in the 70s ya? then you have your peak of the scene in the early 80's, and then you have your kind of post punk in the later 80's early 90s. And thats where it stops. I mean you and I know punk isnt dead, but it doesnt. Punk's time with the world has fadded and we have to give way to such a depressing slew of mediocre babies crying about s--- we dont care about.

We limp on, with an amputated leg and a tshirt through the rest of our punk lives. Punk isnt ever going to get back to its hayday. nope never. But then again we dont want it to now do we?

We want punk raw, we want punk underground, we want punk in seedy clubs in dark alleys where youd be afraid to go, if you wernt punk that is. We want punk ----ty and dirty and all around gnarly if you will. Being "alive" and in the main stream isnt what Id call punk at all.

What is everyone looking for? I mean if you want punk to be "alive" try going to the Warped Tour. Personally, Im staying way the hell away from that s---, as just about 100% of the bands there are pure crap, and id like to think if i went, thered be but a handful left alive.

Punk is very far from dead. Out of that squalling, wining cesspool that is americas youth do crawl a few true punk. I like to think myself one.

`Punk is not dead... but it´s obviously not on the radio or on the MTV... punk is a movement that needs to be reformed all the time, cause as everything, the market is always trying the create consumers for it... so ---- MTV, ---- the radio, ---- the labels, we should look for punk rock where they don´t.

You meet nice goths, satanic goths, then some rude ones but not allot, religious goths, funny goths, and metal head goths.
half of you "punks" seem rude and mean as hell on purpose. Show your real personality unless being like all the other punks is the only thing your good at doing. I never relized how swearing so much can make a person seem stupid and worst of all its no wonder why the UK punk scene died so fast and all the people went "chav."

There was I being disrespectful ? Heh.

Honestly though the only punk scene thats different is in japan. Everywhere else same old junk. Boring.

are you jokes? serious the punk scene hasnt died. and how can you say you have a better scene. if you look under the radar you will probably find more punks than you seem to think there is. just cause you dont see us all the time. doesnt mean we dont excist. and whats with the slagging us off...geeze why you on here if ya just gunna mouth off. not all punks swear all the time and are rude but doesnt mean they aint decent people or whatever, i swear and can be very rude at times but half the time im alright. and its not the same old punk since...theres so many different genres of punk and scenes..i mean before you go shooting your mouth off about us punks dont do it on a site made for punks and make sure you know what the ---- your talking about.

`oh and one other thing we are bigger than just a group of punks that sit around being aggresive...we got skunx...skins, punx and drunx. once united as one group...were not antisocial, where i live we all go to gigs togethers, we drink together and have fun. hell even sometimes average people turn up. but punk is about having fun, doing what you want, not giving a s--- and being you!
