That question goes out to the PRE-HOt TOPIC generation. Ya know when we had to fight for it.
I grew up punk in Texas in the 80s and it was a daily fight against society. You made your own clothes, non of this punk is a fashion statement, I'm 24 and I've decided to be a punk, bull----. My generation, you didn't choose punk. Punk chose you.
So, was it a song, was it a moment? What happened to make you say ---- yeah, this is who I am?
My first encounter a coworker played Suicidal Tendencies I saw ur mommy. He bought it the day it was released and played it for me. I knew that was it.I was already poor and dressed weird. So, it was a very natural transition. 2nd punk rock song ever heard, --- and Violence the exploited.

`First taste was at a camp driving back from the pool club and my counselor was playing 95.9 the rat nj and American idiot blasted and I heared it and I was like this is ----ing awesome!!!!!!!
