God, I am sick of D-beat. It all sounds the same. Discharge, Disclose, Dis this Dis that. Everyone in Cleveland and everyone who I used to talk to that were like street punkers are now obsessed with d-beat. You go to a show and 3/4 the crowd is 15 yr old kids with discharge and dis band's backpatches, patches, and shirts. I really don't see what is great about it. |

I love D-beat and in my opinion you can't really hear enough. Yah, the Dis.. names are a bit much but what about Mob 47, Crude SS and s---lickers? I have been listening to Skitsytem the Stigmata album lately. It's punishing D-beat and I can't get enough.

I really like World Burns To Death, Avskum, Skitsystem, Disfear, Wolfpack etc.
The "Dis-" thing is kinda played out.

`D-beat is tried and tested for sure but show me a catchier form of aggressive punk!
Warvictims are a great Swedish band doing the DIS thing with finesse right now.
Also......check out Kvoteringen as they fu*kinn rippppp!!!!
So many unsung bands in the past, Distress (Holland) Final (Japan) Dispense (Sweden)

`Also, Discharge were an amazing band at the time but it's not sacrilege to announce that so many bands have done their style better since.
True originators yeah......best ever??????
